The SP 991 is a power amplifier
in monophonic design. This was necessary because of the already
tremendous weight of 30 kg for each mono-block. The circuitry's
layout is balanced. Each mono-block can be driven via either
balanced XLR connectors or unbalanced RCA jacks.
The heart of each block consists of a toroidal core transformer
of 1,500 W, 120,000 µF energy storage capacity and 24 power
transistors from TOSHIBA. Connections: 3 sources. bi-wiring
or 2 speakers. Finish: face plate black or silver.
