Densen has introduced the Gizmo system remote. Until now Densen has
not offered remote control on their products, following their tradition
for true no-nonsense products. After inroducing several products that
were prepared for remote, such as the B-200 and the B-400, Densen
has launced the Gizmo as the remote for these and all forthcoming
Densen products.
Following it's no-nonsense tradition Densen regards the remote
as a separate product. We have done everything possible to design
a remote that is as far removed from the traditional plastic remote
as possible.
The cabinet is made of extruded aluminium, which is extruded and
glass-bursted, and then anodised. The design follows ergonomic principles,
to obtain a shape that is pleasing to hold, even for an extended
time.
Instead of using a traditional "keypad" with its woblly
rubber buttons, our buttons are made of hard plastic, to ensure
a much more precise, tactile feeling.
To avoid the traditional problem of having to aim directly at the
product, which needs to be operated for the remote to function,
the Gizmo functions with a special burst mode, instead of a pulse-mode
transmission. This ensures a transmission precision that secures
stable transmission over long distances, even when the remote control
is not pointed directly at the audio system. The use of burst mode
technology makes it impossible to duplicate the Gizmo's functions
on a learning remote.
This is also the reason for the 4 IR diodes on the top of the remote,
which help to secure a long transmission range.
To avoid a fast drain on the batteries the Gizmo uses rechargeable
batteries and comes complete with a charger….
The Gizmo is not only ready for the current Densen products, but
is also designed to work with all future Densen products.
